1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device and store certain information about your preferences or past actions.

We also use similar technologies, including:

• Local storage and session storage: Browser-based storage that persists data locally
• Pixels and tags: Small invisible images used to track interactions
• Web beacons: Embedded objects that report page views and engagement
• Server-side identifiers: Tokens stored in our database linked to your session

For simplicity, this Policy refers to all such technologies as "Cookies".

This Cookie Policy explains what Cookies we use on 嘉名雅阁（Jiamingyage / GreatName） (the "Service"), why we use them, and how you can manage them.

This Policy supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Legal basis: Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention) and contractual necessity (providing the Service you requested). No consent required under GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f), and Recital 30 of the ePrivacy Directive.

These Cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization but are not strictly necessary. Loaded only with your consent.

2.3 Analytics Cookies

These Cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Service so we can improve it. Loaded only with your consent.

Note: We use privacy-respecting analytics (PostHog with anonymization enabled). We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar advertising-network analytics on our user-facing pages.

Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time.

Data sharing: Aggregated, anonymized data only. No personal information is sold or shared with advertising networks.

2.4 Marketing Cookies

We currently do NOT use marketing or advertising cookies. If we add them in the future, we will:

• Update this Policy
• Notify you via banner re-consent
• Require explicit opt-in (no pre-checked boxes)

3. Third-Party Cookies

The following third parties may set Cookies through the Service. Each has its own privacy and cookie policies, linked below.

We do not control third-party Cookies. We recommend you review the third party's policy if you have questions about their practices.

4. Cookies and Single Sign-On (SSO)

If you choose to sign in via Google, Apple, or WeChat, those services will set their own Cookies on your device. These Cookies enable secure authentication and are governed by the third party's policy. We receive only the information necessary to identify you (typically: email, name, and a stable user ID), not the underlying authentication Cookies.

5. How to Manage Cookies

5.1 Cookie Settings in the Service

You can review and change your cookie preferences at any time by:

• Clicking "Cookie Settings" in our website footer
• Visiting your account settings under "Privacy"

Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

5.2 Browser Controls

Most browsers allow you to manage cookies through settings. You can:

• Block all cookies
• Block third-party cookies only
• Delete existing cookies
• Receive notifications when cookies are set

5.3 Consequences of Blocking Cookies

If you block all Cookies, including Strictly Necessary ones:

• You will not be able to log in to your account
• You will not be able to complete payments
• The Service may not function correctly
• Each visit will be treated as a new session

Blocking only optional categories (Functional, Analytics) will not affect core functionality.

5.4 Global Privacy Control (GPC) Signal

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request for analytics and marketing cookies. This complies with California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) "Do Not Sell or Share" requirements.

5.5 Do Not Track

We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because there is no industry-standard implementation. We instead rely on our cookie banner and GPC signals for consent management.

6. WeChat Mini Program and SDKs

The cookie tables in this Policy apply to the web (browser) version of the Service. Browser cookies, as described above, do not apply to our WeChat Mini Program.

Our WeChat Mini Program does not use browser cookies. Instead, it uses WeChat local storage (the Mini Program local storage APIs) and platform identifiers (your OpenID, and where available UnionID) for session management and authentication. These identifiers are obtained via WeChat login as described in our Privacy Policy, Section 2.3.1.

If we offer additional mobile apps in the future, they may use SDKs that function similarly to Cookies. We will update this Policy and our consent management to cover mobile-specific tracking technologies.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. When we make material changes:

• The "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised
• For substantive changes (new cookie categories, new third parties), we will re-prompt your consent via the cookie banner
• For minor clarifications, no separate notice is required

We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

8. Children and Cookies

The Service is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly use Cookies to collect data directly from children. See our Privacy Policy, Section 11, for full details on children's privacy.

9. International Users

This Cookie Policy is intended to comply with the following frameworks:

• EU/UK: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ePrivacy Directive
